Howzit Guys

i have a 2001 polo playa 1.6i, and im looking to upgrade to a 2.0. Ive been doing sum Reading and it seems like ADY is the way to go...
have gotten a quote @ about R6800 for the motor ecu and installed... is it a decent price??
also i have been told i need to use my current throttles, will it effect my performance?? can my current gearbox fit for now and which one should i get for max performance?? im hopeing to get 140-160kw from this motor oneday  ... but for now just the 2.0 motor under the bonnet will do. :D

any advice or warninging will be much appriciated

Thanks in advance

R6800-00 is not a bad price.
Yes, the gearbox will be fine, just upgrade to a 210mm SACHS clutch kit + flywheel.
Current throttles? There should be only one throttle body unless you are running ITB's.

When you buy an ADY motor, the inlet manifold and throttel body should be attached to the motor, use them.

140-160kW at the end of the day you say? Turbo will be the only answer. To get a naturally aspirated 2 litre 8 valve to push out that amount of power will cost you very very big bucks.

Ive gotten all kinds of answers to this Question so im here to get the Truth... lol
1))Ive herd i can use my box as is...

whats up

My polo is running the current Mp9 remapped to 2.0,I am quite surprised with the power, unless you do more mods, the MP9 remapped to 2.0l will be sufficient for now, contact Yashin at Frieling Racing on 082 805 9060,he is good with mp9's,i think its around R500....;-)

sup playa

I gota polo classic with a 2ltr,diktator,276,branch,50 mm pipes and a k&n replacement filter, makes 134 hp,175 nm torque @ da wheels and im quite happy with da performance,in my opinion id say geta diktator or gotech so you car will be tuned great on the dyno then just giving guys to remap your 1.6 ecu,i did that and had fueling problems then went diktator,or i also give 20 valves a hiding!!!

What??? R2500 to remap???
Thats insian it'll cost me R2050 for a gotech system... so is there no way to run the ADY without getting an AM system?? and not spending over +- R800??
