I havvent played with tere trotles or came yet, i like a moter that idle nice and ease std, but what I used to do is branch and pipes, filter, kleean the inlet up and slight gasflow on the head, i love that and just drive it to the red line when there was a chance for it at our local drags
I DRIVE, I FLY, I WILL DIE. love the smell of feul, rubber and tarr

@247 LTD
Like with most other motors just go for a bigger throttle body, some mild cams(262 is my bet), gasflow the head, branches and freeflow(62mm on 2liter) and you should be okay.
Aftermarker EFI is another mod you should think about.
Nitrous is great too.

I have a dodge job for my 2l 16v FE3, using stock cross member from 323 and a custom mount on the cam belt side.

Can anyone put me in contact with someone who can sort out a proper cross member for me? I have the original cam mounting avail on request ;)

Cheers.

PS: Imagine my setup above - it means the motor is off center, the gearbox isn't seated correctly and the one sideshaft is shorter... not to mention power to the wheels is not even - torque steer to the right.

Hi Dial8d

Don't think there is a diff with the x-members, i knw the mountings
are totally. My car was a EGi 200i 8v & i put a 16v motor in. I had a look at he normal 323 x-member cud'nt c any diff.
I just bought original mountings from the agents & so far so gud.
What car is the motor in.......

95 Maz 323, the thing is the place that did the conversion took so many shortcuts with the mounting of this thing :(

NO mounting is the original (the one i recall of an old escort of some sorts), the cross member is from the original 1300 motor.

I thought the cross member for the 2.0l has 4 holes for the gearbox mount, mine only has two.

If you can check for me please do, maybe I can get a cross member like yours if it is different.

PS: Thinking all my mounts need to change then. Anyone connected with these?

Ah ha!!! The guys that mounted the motor for me (not all of us have moby jacks lol) said there wasn't enough space for that. My thinking is they were cutting corners and did not bother.

I'm going to try and find someone this side who can do this for me. Anyone recommend someone in Johannesburg?

Cheers.

@ Knights Why don't just drop in the Mazda B6T motor, it will bolt straight up and it comes with the Turbo?
