a new heart for my velo?

Howsit ladies and gents,
im new on the forum, this is my first post.
anyway i have a 1.6i velo. Ive had it for some time now so did sumthings to it:

50mm cowley branch and exhaust
modded airbox and sportflo filter
dastek unichip
276 cam and vernier pulley
flowed throttlebody

it makes 118 hp on the wheels on old dutch's dyno.

i recently decided i was gona put a 2l ady motor on to my cab. run it of the mp 9 with the chip.
as i still owe about 20 k on the car wesbank says i cant put the motor in if i dnt do it @ vw and you guys all know the agents are gna nail me through the wall with there price.

so my question to you guys is, if i put the 2l bottom end onto my cab, the guys say i will have to rebore.
will this work and does it weaken the engine?

Its possible, if a good engineer does it, it will work perfectly, however it will cost upto 3 times the price

shot for the reply. heard some good news this morning, wesbank said its cool for me to put the motor in.
so gna buy a 2l ady this week to put it in her
